Céilí: Irish Group Dancing

What is céilí? Irish céilí dancing is group dances performed by couples and groups to live, traditional Irish music. … Some dances are performed by a line of men facing a line of women (Haymakers Jig, Rince Fada etc.) while others ore performed by any number of couples in a circle (Rince Mór). This lively dancing and lessons are included with your admission ticket to the Irish Festival. Lessons are taught on site at the Cultural Tent by Brian Reynolds beginning at 7:00 p.m.
